Telescope house redux

The concept of this prototype proposal was inspired by the telescoping house typology native to Buffalo, NY, that was developed by immigrants in the 1920s who started with small starter homes that they extended backwards with smaller or larger additions.

The project is separated into three modules that build off of each others roof lines. The massing increases in size with each module and are connected through asymmetrical roofs. The front two modules act as a complete starter house with a kitchen, dining table, handicap accessible bathroom, and pull out bed that also works as a couch. The third module is left as only a timber frame structure with a foundation for the purpose of being a framework for later use if the occupant finds a need or resources to expand their home.
