This proposal of affordable housing in Buffalo is an alternate option of home ownership to the public. Two couples co-housing permits a cheaper initial cost and cost of living by sharing amenities. The house is designed to live up to the reputation of Buffalo as being a “city of good neighbors”. Windows are strategically placed to not look into neighbor’s houses of close proximity by implementation of different peaked roofs, skylights, west/east windows and the overall subtraction of form of the house. This house design can be placed in the bailey green neighborhood smoothly, but zenner st. Also provides an opportunity to implement additional co-houses to further populate the community.
