Nexus bus shelter

ARC605 | Fall 2010
Professor Edward Steinfeld

A healthy public transportation system is critical to the development of a sustainable university campus. The UB 2020 Master Plan seeks to reduce reliance on private automobiles for transportation to the campuses, between campuses and within each campus. Bus shelter design is a critical factor in promoting the use of public transportation. The prototypes developed within the studio investigate the design of shelters and terminals while exploring the significance of such a construction in contemporary life and architecture. The results of the studio were used to inform the prototypes developed for the UB 2020 Master Plan and construction in the coming years.
