Klinikondu – Istanbul | Turkey
ARC605 | Spring 2015
This project proposes a prefabricated modular health clinic design for the informal settlements within Turkish urban areas. The clinic is affordable, transportable and highly adaptive, and is made of retired shipping containers and prefabricated light-gauge metal structures. The proposed concept includes an optional transportable unit for minor procedures that could be shared amongst neighboring communities. The health complex has an open setup within the community in order to accommodate a public gathering space to promote health and craft education through short public sessions for different demographic groups.
